One panel on the bowl shows the Greek Parthenon with the words "Ruins of Parthenon." Another panel shows a camel and a person and the third panel shows a broken column surrounded by date trees and a sphinx nearby. The most interesting element is a three-dimensional sphinx sitting on the base of the compote. It was manufactured around 1880.
There are no cracks or other imperfections.
